Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for directly preparing p-xylene from synthetic gas and an aromatic hydrocarbon. The method comprises: enabling a raw material containing synthetic gas and an aromatic hydrocarbon other than p-xylene to be contacted with a catalyst in a reaction zone under a reaction condition sufficient to convert at least part of the raw material, so as to obtain a reaction effluent containing p-xylene; and separating p-xylene from the reaction effluent. The catalyst contains at least one of an inert carrier limited-range high-dispersion metal oxide material, an acidic molecular sieve, and optional graphite powder, and a dispersing agent; in the inert carrier limited-range high-dispersion metal oxide material, the inert carrier is at least one of silicon oxide and aluminum oxide, and the metal oxide has a metal content of being less than or equal to 10 mass%; the inert carrier limited-range high-dispersion metal oxide material is measured by weight; the acidic molecular sieve is selected from a modified acidic ZSM-5 molecular sieve, a modified acidic ZSM-11 molecular sieve, and a mixture thereof.
