Abstract:
According to the present invention, a cutting step comprises: a groove formation step for forming a groove part (2) extending, along an outer peripheral section of a cutting region (13), from an upper end section of a mat slab (1) to a middle section thereof in the vertical direction; a core hole formation step for forming first core holes (41) at two different places in the groove part (2) so that the first core holes reach the bottom section (2a) of the groove part (2); a wire saw installation step for installing a pulley (52) in each of the two first core holes (41), installing a wire saw (51) so that a middle portion (51a) thereof in the longitudinal direction surrounds the cutting region (13), winding the wire saw (51) around the two pulleys (52), and pulling both longitudinal end portions (51b) of the wire saw (51) out above the mat slab (1) via the core holes; and a bottom section cutting step for pulling the wire saw (51) upward from the both end portions (51b), moving the wire saw along the bottom section (13a) of the cutting region (13), and cutting the cutting region (13).
