Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method for efficiently producing L-homophenylalanine and a strain for producing L-homophenylalanine. According to the present invention, a new pathway for synthesizing L-homophenylalanine via enzymatic cascade reactions using cost-efficient benzaldehyde and pyruvic acid as starting materials is designed. By means of constructing the enzymes in the pathway into one Escherichia coli strain and using the obtained recombinant Escherichia coli strain for catalysis, a production process in a 5-L reactor resulted in a yield of 100.9 g/L, a conversion rate of 94%, and an ee of >99%. Compared with the prominent method for producing L-HPA at present, the present invention greatly reduces the production cost of L-homophenylalanine and thus possesses good application prospects.
