Title:
METHOD OF ENHANCING ACTIVITY OF ANTIBODY COMPOSITION OF BINDING TO Fc&gammad RECEPTOR IIIa
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/085119
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of enhancing the activity of an antibody of binding to Fc&gammad receptor IIIa; a method of enhancing the antibody-dependent cytotoxic activity of an antibody composition; a method of detecting the ratio of sugar chains having no fucose bonded to N-acetylglucosamine at the sugar chain reducing end among total N-glycoside bond-type complex sugar chains binding to the Fc region contained in an antibody composition; a method of detecting an antibody-dependent cytotoxic activity; an Fc-fused protein composition produced with the use of cells having tolerance to a lectin recognizing a sugar chain structure in which an &agr -bond is formed between the 6-position of N-acetylglucosamine at the reducing end of an N-glycoside bond-type complex sugar chain and the 1-position of fucose; and a process for producing the same.
