Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for quickly estimating the post-reaction strength of coke. This method for estimating the post-reaction strength of coke has: a heating step for heating pulverized coke in a prescribed temperature range within an inert gas atmosphere and/or CO2 atmosphere; a holding step for holding at a holding temperature within the prescribed temperature range in a CO2 atmosphere after the heating step; and a step for deriving the weight loss rate of the coke when held for a prescribed time at the holding temperature by using thermogravimetry, and estimating the post-reaction strength of the coke from the weight loss rate.
