Abstract:
Provided is a method for evaluating the chemical stability of polychloroprene latex with which stability of polychloroprene in the presence of a chemical can be evaluated with high precision. First, an aqueous calcium hydroxide solution or an aqueous calcium nitrate solution having a concentration of 0.05 to 0.40 mass% is added to polychloroprene latex having a solid component concentration of 45 to 65 mass%. Next, the precipitate that has formed is filtered and recovered, the dry mass thereof is measured, and the percentage precipitation (%) is calculated by formula (I). (A is the dry mass (g) of the precipitate, B is the mass (g) of the polychloroprene latex, and C is the solid content concentration of the polychloroprene latex (mass%).)
