METHOD FOR EVALUATING CORROSION RESISTANCE OF MOLDED CAN AGAINST CONTENT

A method for evaluating the corrosion resistance of a molded can against the content thereof. The molded can has an opening and comprises a metal sheet of which at least the inner surface among an outer surface and inner surface is coated with a resin film or a coating material. After the molded can has been filled with the aforementioned content, the filled molded can is used as a specimen and is positioned in a device that blocks the entry of external atmosphere to the specimen. If necessary, the content is saturated using nitrogen gas to remove oxygen dissolved therein, after which the temperature of the content is maintained in the range of 25-60℃. From a rest potential, a constant potential of 50-200mV is applied to the specimen from the anode side, and the corrosion resistance of the molded can against the content thereof is evaluated from the accumulated electric power generated for an arbitrarily selected period of time 6-48 hours immediately after the application of the constant potential.
