Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for evaluating the state of a horny layer more easily. This method for evaluating the state of a horny layer comprises bringing a solution of a water-soluble dye into contact with a horny layer sheet and measuring the staining or fluorescence intensity of the horny layer sheet, and thereby enables easy evaluation of the state of a horny layer. Further, a method for evaluating the horny layer improving effect of a cosmetic preparation or a cosmetic procedure is provided by applying the method for evaluating the state of a horny layer with a water -soluble dye.
