Abstract:
The present application provides a method executed by a user equipment (UE), and a UE. The method is a method executed in a process of performing communication between the UE and a base station by means of a single path or multiple paths, and comprises the following steps: a remote UE receives a notification message from a relay UE, wherein the message carries a first cell representing an indication type, and the value of the first cell is set by the relay UE; and upon receiving the notification message, the remote UE in an RRC connected state determines whether the remote UE works in a single-path mode or in a multi-path mode, if the remote UE works in the single-path mode, the remote UE starts an RRC connection reestablishment process, and if the remote UE works in the multi-path mode, the remote UE further determines whether an SRB is a direct bearer, an indirect bearer, or a split SRB.
