Abstract:
Provided are a method for generating optical tomographic information, an optical tomographic information generating apparatus and a storage medium which make it possible to simplify the apparatus and reduce of the processing load when an optical tomographic image including the concentration distribution of a phosphor is obtained. A measurement section acquires measurement data of the intensity of fluorescence obtained by directing exciting light onto a subject. When the initial value of the absorption coefficient of the phosphor is set based on the concentration distribution of the phosphor, an image processing section calculates the distribution of intensity of fluorescence based on the absorption coefficient and dispersion coefficient (equivalent scattering coefficient) of the subject, which are set beforehand, and compares the measurement data and calculation result. If these are then found not to be equal, the absorption coefficient of the phosphor for which the error is a minimum is deduced by performing an inverse problem calculation using the optical scattering equation by a mathematical optimisation technique, and, by repeating the calculation of the intensity distribution of the fluorescence and evaluation of the error from the concentration distribution obtained using this absorption coefficient, the concentration distribution for which the error is a minimum is acquired.
