Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for generating a user profile photo, and an electronic device. The method can be applied to the field of human-computer interactions. The method may comprise: during the process of a user searching multiple thumbnails displayed on a user interface for a profile photo picture, if one thumbnail is selected, where the selection may be a click operation on the thumbnail, an electronic device displaying an original picture corresponding to the thumbnail, and displaying a cropping box on the original picture; and then, the electronic device generating a profile photo of the user according to the cropping box, wherein the cropping box includes a facial region of the original picture, and the composition mode, in the cropping box, of the facial region is the same as that of the facial region in the original picture. By means of the method, a suitable cropping box location can be recommended to a user, thereby improving the efficiency of generating a user profile photo.
