Abstract:
As a means whereby an insect of the family Bothrideridae Erichson useful for biologically controlling Monochamus alternatus, etc. can be grown on a mass scale, provided is a method for growing an insect of the family Bothrideridae Erichson. This method, which involves a step for feeding larvae of the insect of the family Bothrideridae Erichson with pupae of an insect of the family Tenebrionidae, is characterized in that the pupae of the insect of the family Tenebrionidae have been cryogenically treated at the low development threshold temperature or lower.
