Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a method of efficiently and strongly joining ceramics even when they are ceramics of extremely low dielectric loss factor, such as aluminum nitride. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided a method of joining ceramics, including applying electromagnetic wave irradiation to ceramics of single kind or different kinds so as to induce self-heating of the ceramics and thus attain heating junction, characterized in that the method includes a preheating step for heating the junction plane of the ceramics by heating means including auxiliary heating means other than the above self-heating.
