[Problem] To provide a method for joining cloth pieces for chemical protective clothing with fewer steps compared to conventional methods. [Solution] Cloth pieces for chemical protective clothing each having a multilayer structure including a front face layer made of a thermoplastic resin film, a back face layer made of a thermoplastic resin film, and at least an intermediate layer made of a chemical-permeation-resistant resin film are mutually overlapped, with the edge of one cloth piece placed in opposition to the edge of the other cloth piece. The cloth overlapping section near and extending along said edges is stitched. An area having a predetermined width and located in the cloth overlapping section near the stitch line and on the opposite side from said edges across the stitch line is welded and joined by performing high-frequency dielectric heating along the stitch line.
