Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a method for labeling and measuring network traffic, and a node, pertaining to the technical field of communications, and particularly pertaining to network traffic measurement and network traffic distribution. The method for measuring network traffic comprises: a second node receiving data packets sent by other nodes in a network, the data packets being data packets periodically labeled by the other nodes, wherein the period in which each of the nodes labels the data packets is different; and accordingly, the second node identifying traffic sent by the other nodes in the network by means of the labeling periods of the data packets, thereby acquiring the volume of the network traffic sent to the second node by the other nodes in the network. The method for measuring traffic enables a reduction in overhead at a data plane, and simplifies hardware implementation.
