Abstract:
The invention relates to a cladding method for use on any three-dimensional surfaces made of metal materials, the method making use of hybrid laser-arc cladding with the aid of a cladding material in the form of a wire, and can be used in various branches of mechanical engineering for restoring worn-out components of machines and mechanisms, and tools, and for producing new ones. The claimed method for laser-arc cladding of metals comprises supplying a filler material and subjecting same simultaneously to laser radiation and an electric arc. The cladding of the metal is carried out in a protective environment, the protective gases used being, for example, argon and a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide. The technical result which is achieved consists in that the combination of the simultaneous action of laser radiation and the electric arc makes it possible to increase by several times the efficiency of laser cladding.
