Abstract:
This method for machining a cylinder head for a multicylinder engine comprises the steps of: securing a cylinder head to a securing jig of a machining device in a vertical orientation in which a plurality of recesses are vertically aligned, each recess constituting part of a combustion chamber of a cylinder; measuring the relative positions of at least two recess references surfaces among recess references surfaces formed respectively in the plurality of recesses, and calculating incline information of the vertically oriented cylinder head; correcting a recess machining condition on the basis of the calculated incline information, the recess machining condition depending on a predetermined tool of the machining device; and respectively machining inner walls of the plurality of recesses by means of the tool of the machining device on the basis of the corrected recess machining condition.
