Abstract:
A method for machining an elongated thread in segments, comprising the steps of: S1, planning elongated thread machining, and reasonably dividing, according to the total length of the elongated thread, the elongated thread into several segments for machining; S2, machining a first segment of thread by turning, and ensuring that the tool retraction angle is controlled at 115-120º when retracting a tool at the tail of the first segment of thread; S3, machining the middle segment of thread by turning, ensuring that the tool feed point starts from the integral multiple of the thread pitch of the previous segment of thread, and controlling the tool retraction angle at 115-120º when retracting the tool at the middle segment of thread; and S4, machining the last segment of thread by turning, and ensuring that the tool feed point starts from the integral multiple of the thread pitch of the previous segment of thread. The machining method can prevent the elongated thread from being deformed and broken. The tooth shape is reserved well by the tool retraction angle, and an undercut does not appear. The selection of the tool feed point plays a good role in connecting.
