Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for making ceramic ornaments using ceramic powder and the ceramic ornaments made thereby. More particularly, the method for making ceramic ornaments employs thermal transfer to accurately print different patterns on the surface of the ornaments made with ceramic material, as well as apply heat in such a manner as to prevent deformation of the ornaments. For the above objective, the method for making ceramic ornaments of the present invention is a method for making ceramic ornaments using ceramic powder, characterized by comprising: a prototype making step whereby a prototype ornament is made by pressing ceramic powder into a mold; a decal attaching step whereby decal is attached to the surface of the prototype ornament made in the prototype making step; a thermal transfer step whereby the prototype ornament with attached decal is placed in a furnace and heat applied to the pattern printed on the decal which prints the pattern onto the surface of the prototype ornament; and a cooling step whereby the prototype ornament with the printed pattern is cooled.
