A method for manufacturing a display panel, comprising providing a substrate (200), wherein a first metal layer is provided on the substrate (200), the substrate (200) comprises a first display region (210) and a first peripheral region (220), and the first metal layer covers the first display region (210) and the first peripheral region (220); laying a photoresist layer on the first metal layer to form a first semi-finished panel; exposing and developing the first semi-finished panel to form a second semi-finished panel, wherein first and second pre-set patterns are respectively formed in regions of the second semi-finished panel corresponding to the first display region (210) and the first peripheral region (220); and etching and stripping off the second semi-finished panel, so that a first pre-set metal wire group is formed on the first display region (210), and a second pre-set metal wire group (310) is formed on the first peripheral region (220). By means of the method, electrostatic discharge during the manufacturing process of a display panel is greatly reduced, thereby greatly improving the yield of the display panel.
