Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a method for manufacturing a film roll suited to being manufactured by wide film processing with which winding failures do not occur and it is possible to minimize orientation angle variations; and a projection adjustment system used in the method for manufacturing a film roll. This method for manufacturing a film roll by a solution or melt casting method is characterized by: including at least a film forming step, a step for adjusting the projection in the widthwise direction of the film surface, a step for trimming both ends of the film, and a step for winding the film trimmed by the trimming step; and the projection adjustment step being a step for adjusting the number, height, and position of the projections, and being configured so that local heating is applied to the film to thereby set the number of the projections to within the range of 1-10 per 1 m in the widthwise direction, the height of the projections is set within the range of 0.05-0.50 μm, and the positions of the projections are adjusted so as to be moved continuously in the lengthwise direction of the film surface.
