This method for manufacturing a multilayer film includes a step for applying a coating liquid on a long base material film. In the application step, the base material film is conveyed on a conveyance path defined by a curved surface of a support device which includes a support body having the curved surface. The support body is a member for causing a gas to jet out from the curved surface, and noncontactly supporting the base material film being conveyed. The support body includes a first support part, a second support part, and a third support part in order from the upstream side of the conveyance path. The coating liquid is applied by an application device provided opposingly to the second support part so as to provide a coating liquid layer to a surface of the base material film.
