Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing a power generation element, a power generation element, a power generation device, and an electronic apparatus with which it is possible to mitigate a decrease over time in the amount of power generated. [Solution] A method for manufacturing a power generation element 1 that does not require a temperature difference between electrodes during conversion of thermal energy into electric energy comprises an element forming step. The element forming step comprises forming a first electrode 11, an intermediate portion 14 including fine particles, and a second electrode 12 having a work function different from that of the first electrode 11. The fine particles include first fine particles having a work function of less than or equal to an intermediate value between a work function of the first electrode 11 and a work function of the second electrode 11.
