Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a spherical particle material in which the grain size distribution can easily be controlled. This method has: a granulation step for granulating a raw particle material formed from an inorganic material having a D50 of 5 μm or less to form granulated bodies; and a spheroidizing step for thermally melting the granulated bodies to form a spherical particle material having a D50 greater than that of the raw particle material. A melting method is employed as the method for forming a base body for manufacturing a spherical particle material that has a required grain size distribution. The granulated bodies are used in order to manufacture the spherical particle material that has the required grain size distribution through the melting method.
