Abstract:
A method for measuring an antigen-antibody reaction by using sandwiching comprises: an antigen-antibody reaction step for causing a solid-phase antibody (32) and a labeled antibody (23), which has an antibody obtained when an identification label (22) is modified, to bind together so that an antigen (24) is sandwiched between the solid-phase antibody (32) and the labeled antibody (23) in a medium comprising a specimen that includes the antigen (24); and an antigen concentration measurement step for measuring the concentration of the antigen (24) by identifying the identification label (22). Prior to the antigen-antibody reaction step, the method includes a solid-phase antibody immobilization step for causing the solid-phase antibody (32) to be modified on a predetermined base material (3), and a labeled antibody particle immobilization step for modifying the labeled antibody (23) on particles (11) dispersible in the medium comprising the specimen. In the antigen-antibody reaction step, the solid-phase antibody (32) and the labeled antibody (23) which has been modified on the dispersible particles (11) are made to bind together so that the antigen (24) is sandwiched between the solid-phase antibody (32) and the labeled antibody (23).
