Abstract:
The estimation method using near-infrared spectroscopy generally has low specificity and in particular, has difficulty in estimating of trace components. It has been difficult to accurately measure the amount of coating by near-infrared spectroscopy. For coping with this problem, the amount of coating applied onto objects, such as granules and uncoated tablets, is measured on the basis of scattering or absorption of light of 800 to 1100 nm wavelength region by additives applied onto the coating objects. Preferably, polyethylene glycol or compounds having long-chain hydrocarbon are used as the additives.
