Abstract:
A method of network management system interface negotiation, comprises the following
steps: a sending party transmits an IRP version information supported by the
sending party to a receiving party, and the receiving party obtains the matched
IRP version information according to the IRP version information supported by
the sending party and the receiving party (103). An apparatus of network management system
interface negotiation comprises the sending party negotiation module in the
sending party and the receiving party negotiation module in the receiving party.
In the invention, the matched IRP version information obtained by negotiation can
ensure the matching between a functional interface IRP, data defined IRP and
NRM IRP that are between the managing unit and the managed unit. And the matched IRP
version information obtained by negotiation can also ensure a correct interaction between
the managing unit and the managed unit, thus greatly reduce the affect on the whole
network management system after the partially updating of the network.
