Abstract:
Provided are a method for preparing adamantyltrimethylammonium hydroxide, and an aqueous quaternary ammonium base solution prepared thereby, relating to the technical field of molecular sieve template agent production. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, salification, which involves weighing dimethyladamantanamine, adding dimethyl carbonate thereto, mixing same until uniform to obtain a quaternized mixture, and under a helium sealing atmosphere, heating same to 135-150℃ for reaction for at least 6 h to obtain adamantyltrimethylammonium monomethyl carbonate; and S2, hydrolysis, which involves dissolving the adamantyltrimethylammonium monomethyl carbonate into water, adding calcium hydroxide thereto, bubbling nitrogen below the liquid level, heating same until boiling and removing the byproduct methanol to form adamantyltrimethylammonium hydroxide, and recovering the product to obtain an aqueous quaternary ammonium base solution. The preparation method can reduce the content of impurities.
