Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing an alkyl aryl ketone compound and use thereof. According to the method, the alkyl aryl ketone compound is prepared by means of an oxidation reaction under the action of a transition metal catalyst with a 2-alkyl aryl acetonitrile compound as the starting material. Compared with the prior art, the method provided by the present invention does not require a particularly low temperature or expensive base reagents, and features a high yield, reduced time period, and reduced use of bases. The method can even provide a high yield with the absence of base and produce less waste.
