Abstract:
A method for preparing flax fiber-based multi-scale cellulose nanofibers, comprising acid soaking, washing using water, oxidation, fiber preparing, oil feeding, oil-water separation, and softening. The flax fibers have a strength of 4.0-8.0 cN/dtex and a fineness of 1400-4000 metric counts. 9-11 kg of water is used per kilogram of flax fiber. The method comprises: first adding sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate, sodium silicate, urea and a penetrant to water, the amount added being each liter of water containing 1-5 g of sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate, 2-7 g of sodium silicate, 2-7 g of urea, and 2-4 g of the penetrant after addition; after completely dissolving, adding hydrogen peroxide, the amount of hydrogen peroxide added being, as pure hydrogen peroxide, each liter of water containing 4-11 g of hydrogen peroxide after addition; placing flax fiber in an oxidizing solution; uniformly increasing the temperature from room temperature to 70-100°C, the heating time being controlled at 20-60 min, and the oxidation reaction time being 2.0-4 hours. Beneficial effects: the amount of chemicals used is relatively reduced, thereby alleviating the level of environmental pollution, the fineness of the nanofibers can also achieve textile spinnability, the strength of the nanofibers is high, and the nanofibers are suitable for spinning high-count yarn and preparing high-end clothing and decorative fabrics.
