Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a polymer, comprising the steps of: preparing a first polymer mixture by performing polymerization while continuously adding, into a first reactor, a monomer mixture including a (meth)acrylate-based monomer, a vinyl aromatic monomer, and a first vinyl cyanide-based monomer; and preparing a second polymer mixture by performing polymerization while continuously adding, into a second reactor, a second vinyl cyanide-based monomer and the first polymer mixture, wherein the continuous addition of the second vinyl cyanide-based monomer and the first polymer mixture starts at a time at which the polymerization conversion rate is 40.0-55.0%, and the weight ratio of the first vinyl cyanide-based monomer to the second vinyl cyanide-based monomer is 10:90-35:65.
