Abstract:
A method for preparing polypropylene or a propylene-ethylene copolymer, comprising: (1) subjecting a liquid phase propylene together with a polymerization catalyst to a prepolymerization of propylene, into a feedstock slurry containing a propylene prepolymer, wherein the prepolymerization temperature is 40ºC-45ºC, the prepolymerization pressure is 3.2-3.9 MPaG, and the olefin polymerization catalyst is 0.04-0.06 wt % of the liquid phase propylene; (2) mixing the feedstock slurry, a recovered liquid phase propylene and a recovered and recycled hydrogen gas into a liquid phase polymeric raw material; (3a) subjecting the liquid phase polymeric raw material to a liquid phase homopolymerization of propylene and a gas phase homopolymerization of propylene, into a product containing a propylene homopolymer; or (3b) subjecting the liquid phase polymeric raw material to liquid phase copolymerization and gas phase random copolymerization, with ethylene, into a product containing a propylene-ethylene random copolymer, wherein the feed amount of ethylene is less than 5 wt% of the liquid phase propylene; performing gas-solid separation of the product, separating out the polymer and recovering propylene and hydrogen gas. The method can reduce the energy consumption per unit product, and propylene loss.
