Abstract:
A method for preparing a PVDC emulsion for water-based environmentally-friendly tableware comprises the following steps: preparing an initiator aqueous solution, preparing an emulsifier aqueous solution, preparing first-stage mixed monomers by using vinylidene chloride, a methyl acrylate, acrylic acid functional monomer and acrylic acid monomer, preparing a second-stage modified functional emulsion by using a polymerized modified acrylic acid functional emulsion and cross-linking monomer, performing seeded polymerization on part of the first-stage mixed monomers in the presence of the emulsifier, then dropwise adding remaining monomers, the emulsifier and the initiator to implement first-stage polymerization, keeping a reaction temperature, meanwhile dropwise adding second-stage modified functional emulsion, the emulsifier and the initiator to implement a second-stage reaction, and finally adding the remaining initiator, keeping a temperature and performing curing.
