Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for preparing a welding joint protective coating, and the use thereof. The welding joint protective coating has a double-layer structure having an anodized aluminum layer and an Ni-P plating layer, and is applied to a welding seam surface of friction stir welding of an aluminum alloy. The method for preparing the welding joint protective coating comprises the following steps: 1) pretreating a welding seam surface of an aluminum alloy to obtain a flat and smooth welding seam surface of the aluminum alloy to be reinforced; 2) anodizing the welding seam surface of the aluminum alloy to be reinforced to obtain a compact and porous anodized aluminum intermediate layer; 3) activating and pore-enlarging the anodized aluminum intermediate layer to obtain a welding seam surface of the aluminum alloy to be plated with nickel; and 4) subjecting the welding seam surface of the aluminum alloy to be plated with nickel to an electrochemical nickel plating treatment so as to obtain the welding joint protective coating. Not only can the present invention improve the bonding strength between a nickel plating layer and a substrate, but also, the corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance of a welding seam of an aluminum alloy can be improved.
