Abstract:
The method disclosed for line-by-line printing consists in placing the case (1) of the line-by-line printing apparatus on the object of printing (4), with the case (1) aligned with the first character of the line and with the line direction. A connection to a personal computer (3) is established at the moment at which information is first transmitted to each line, and is broken as soon as the information for each line has been transmitted. The information from the personal computer (3) is transmitted by moving the case (1) manually across the object of printing (4) in the direction of the line, with the operator's hand exerting pressure on the object of printing (4). The line-by-line printing apparatus is comprised of the following: a case (1) bearing an element (2) for connection with the personal computer (3) and containing an ink-jet printing head, as well as a movement sensor for the case that is linked to a roller (10) made of frictional material. Situated on the case (1) are a print activator electrically connected to the element (2) and a component for the precision positioning of the case with respect to the first character of the line, as well as a component for the precision positioning of the case with respect to the line direction.
