Abstract:

A recording apparatus which includes an apparatus main body, a cover (32) rotatably adapted to the apparatus main body in such a manner as to be capable of turning between an open position and a closure position with the axis of turning as the center, roll-like recording paper (82) supported turnably by the cover (32) and fed through a feeding passage, and printing means (72) for recording information to recording paper (100) from the roll-like recording paper. Braking force application means for imparting a braking force to the roll-like recording paper (82) is provided to the cover (32). When the cover (32) is turned towards the closure position, the roll-like recording paper is rotated integrally with this turning motion of the cover (32) by the function of the braking force application means, and the roll-like recording paper (82) is moved in the direction in which recording paper (100) pulled out from the roll-like recording paper (82) is rewound.
