Abstract:

A method of processing copper-containing materials with the recovery of a precious metal concentrate can be used in non-ferrous metallurgy in the comprehensive processing of copper materials, copper-nickel materials or other copper-containing materials. The method includes dead roasting a material, leaching the roast products with the addition of a fine fraction of a sulphide-containing copper-containing material or a sulphide solution in an amount that provides for residual sulphur in the leaching residue in an amount of 1.5-2.5%, recovering copper by electrowinning from the leaching solutions, flotating the leaching residue to obtain a precious metal concentrate and a flotation tail substantially containing non-ferrous metals. The copper-containing material to be processed can be a copper concentrate from the flotation separation of nickel matte or copper matte, in particular white matte, copper ore concentrates, cement copper or other intermediate copper products of nickel refining, or combinations thereof. The fine fraction of sulphide-containing material to be added can be a fine fraction of the roasted material. The technical result is a decrease in the loss of precious metals, the production of high-grade copper cathode, and the effective flotation recovery of precious metals from the leaching residue.
