Abstract:
The present invention provides an industrially advantageous method for producing an alkanedisulfonic acid compound, said method being capable of easily producing an alkanedisulfonic acid compound with a high yield at a low cost. The present invention is a method for producing an alkanedisulfonic acid compound, said method comprising a step wherein an alkanedisulfonic acid compound is obtained by reacting at least one alkanesulfonic acid compound having a specific structure with sulfur trioxide in the presence of at least one compound that is selected from the group consisting of sulfone compounds and sulfoxide compounds having a specific structure.
