Abstract:
The present invention provides an industrially advantageous method for producing an alkylsilyloxy substituted benzyl compound, wherein a reaction process is easy to control. A method for producing an alkylsilyloxy substituted benzoyl compound which is represented by general formula (5) (wherein one to five moieties among R1c to R5c each represent an alkyloxy group substituted by one to three alkylsilyloxy groups, while having 1 to 29 carbon atoms, and the rest each represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and RC represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a group represented by the following formula (wherein one to five moieties among R1c to R5c each represent an alkyloxy group substituted by one to three alkylsilyloxy groups, while having 1 to 29 carbon atoms, and the rest each represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or alternatively, in cases where RC has the structure of this formula, R5c may combine with R5c in formula (5) to form an ether bond (-O-); and * represents the binding site with RC)). This method for producing an alkylsilyloxy substituted benzoyl compound is characterized by having an alkylsilylating agent react with a benzoyl compound that is represented by general formula (3) (wherein one to five moieties among R1b to R5b each represent a hydroxyalkyloxy group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, and the rest each represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and RB represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a group represented by the following formula (wherein one to five moieties among R1b to R5b each represent a hydroxyalkyloxy group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, and the rest each represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or alternatively, in cases where RB has the structure of this formula, R5b may combine with R5b in formula (3) to form an ether bond (-O-); and * represents the binding site with RB)).
