Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing an aromatic hydrocarbon, wherein an aromatic hydrocarbon is stably produced for a long time by catalytically reacting a lower hydrocarbon with a catalyst, while maintaining a high aromatic hydrocarbon production yield. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an aromatic hydrocarbon, which comprises a reaction step wherein an aromatic hydrocarbon is obtained by catalytically reacting a lower hydrocarbon with a catalyst, and a regeneration step wherein the catalyst used in the reaction step is regenerated, and repeats the reaction step and the regeneration step. In the reaction step, carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide is added to the lower hydrocarbon, and the reaction temperature is set at a temperature higher than 800˚C.
