Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CELL POPULATION IN WHICH PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT STEM CELLS ARE CONCENTRATED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/074046
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for preparing a cell population containing numerous periodontal ligament stem cells, particularly epithelial stem cells from the periodontal ligament and/or periodontal mesenchymal stem cells from the periodontal ligament. [Solution] Provided is a method for producing a cell population in which periodontal ligament stem cells are concentrated, said method including a stem cell selection step in which a cell population that has been isolated from periodontal ligament is cultivated in a culture medium containing a prescribed proliferation factor. Further provided are: a cell population in which periodontal ligament stem cells are concentrated; a pharmaceutical composition having said cell population or the culture supernatant thereof as an active ingredient; a method for producing a dental implant or tooth having a periodontal ligament coating formed using the cell population; and a novel marker for periodontal ligament stem cells.
