Abstract:

A method for producing a difluoroacetic acid ester, which comprises a step wherein a tertiary amine/hydrogen fluoride salt produced by bringing hydrogen fluoride coexistent with a difluoroacetic acid ester, which is represented by the following formula: CHF2COOR (wherein R represents an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms), into contact with a tertiary amine represented by the following formula: R1R2R3N (wherein R1, R2 and R3 each represents a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group, with the total number of carbon atoms being 9-15) is collected separately from the difluoroacetic acid ester. The tertiary amine can be recovered and reused.
