Abstract:
A method for producing a glass fiber-reinforced recycled polyphenylene sulfide resin composition, the method being characterized by: obtaining fractured molded articles (A) by fracturing molded articles that contain a polyphenylene sulfide resin and glass fibers; and mixing the fractured molded articles (A) with a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition (B) which contains 40 to 90% by weight of a polyphenylene sulfide resin that has a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 to 60,000 and 10 to 60% by weight of glass fibers. Consequently, the present invention is able to suppress breakage of glass fibers during the recycling of a glass fiber-reinforced PPS resin composition, thereby enabling the achievement of a glass fiber-reinforced recycled PPS resin composition that has excellent mechanical characteristics.
