Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a graft polymer, wherein an epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer can be graft-polymerized onto a polymer particle mainly composed of a polyolefin with high graft ratio in an emulsion solution. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a graft polymer by graft-polymerizing an epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer onto a polymer particle mainly composed of a polyolefin. The method comprises a step of irradiating a polymer particle with an electron beam, and a step of graft-polymerizing an epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer onto the polymer particle by bringing the polymer particle irradiated with an electron beam into contact with an emulsion solution containing water, a surfactant and the epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
