Abstract:

A method for producing a green compact which comprises a step of subjecting a soft magnetic powder (21) having an average particle diameter Da to a pressing under a pressure Pa to form a formed part (22), and a step of subjecting a soft magnetic powder (31) having an average particle diameter Db and the formed part (22) to a pressing under a pressure Pb, to form a formed article, wherein the average particle diameters Da and Db of soft magnetic powders (21 and 31) satisfy the relationship: Da/Db ≥ 2, and pressures Pa and Pb in the above pressings satisfy the relationship: Pa/Pb ≤ 1/2; and a green compact produced by the above method. The above green compact exhibits a high strength and also can be produced even when it has a complex shape.
