Abstract:
A method for producing high-nickel matte by means of reduction sulfidation smelting of laterite-nickel ore, comprising: mixing laterite-nickel ore with a reducing agent, a sulfidizing agent and a flux to prepare pellets, and performing selective pre-reduction-sulfidation roasting on same; causing the pre-sulphidation roasted material to enter a side-blown converter, and then adding a reducing agent, a sulfidizing agent and a flux for a reduction-sulfidation reaction to obtain low-nickel matte and smelting slag; performing converting-slagging treatment on the low-nickel matte to obtain high-nickel matte and converting slag; performing fusing oxidation on the smelting slag and/or the converting slag to generate ferroferric oxide; cooling same to obtain nickel-cobalt-rich magnetite; and performing graded magnetic separation to obtain iron ore concentrate and nickel-cobalt-rich matte slag. The use of a rotary kiln and the side-blown converter to perform continuous reduction sulfidation smelting of laterite nickel ore to produce low-nickel matte can effectively enrich and extract nickel, cobalt and other valuable metals, and involves a simple process, good safety and environment friendliness, high heat efficiency and low overall energy consumption. The whole system has a nickel recovery rate of 90-98% and a cobalt recovery rate of 90-97%, thus achieving a high economic value.
