Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing polyoxyalkylene that can exhibit a higher modulus after curing.
A hydroxyl group-containing polyoxyalkylene (A) is obtained by performing ring-opening polymerization of a monoepoxide having a moisture content of at least 5 ppm but less than 50 ppm, and a hydrolyzable silyl group is introduced into (A). The step for introducing the hydrolyzable silyl group may be a step for converting the hydroxyl group of (A) into a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond-containing group and converting the carbon-carbon unsaturated bond-containing group into a hydrolyzable silyl group, or may be a step for causing a urethanization reaction of a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing isocyanate compound with respect to the hydroxyl group of the hydroxyl group-containing polyoxyalkylene (A).
