Abstract:
This method for producing a negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries comprises: a step for preparing an activated carbonaceous substance A that is obtained by subjecting a carbonaceous substance A to a treatment that increases the BET specific surface area thereof by 2% to 50%; a step for obtaining a mixture by mixing the activated carbonaceous substance A with a carbonaceous substance precursor which serves as a starting material for a carbonaceous substance B that is different from the carbonaceous substance A; and a step for obtaining a baked product by subjecting the mixture to a heat treatment.
