Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a noble metal-containing heat-resistant oxide which has excellent durability in high temperature atmospheres. In such a method for producing a noble metal-containing heat-resistant oxide, a primary precursor composition obtained by blending a coordination element material containing a coordination element is subjected to a primary heat treatment, thereby forming a primary heat-treated composition (crystal lattice) such as a perovskite complex oxide or a fluorite-type complex oxide. Next, a noble metal element material containing a noble metal element such as Pt, Rh, Pd or the like is blended in the primaryheat-treated composition, and then the thus-obtained secondary precursor composition is subjected to a secondary heat treatment (burning) at a temperature higher than the primary heat treatment temperature and not less than 600&ring C.
