Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method by which PHA (for example, a PHA powder) is able to be obtained with high productivity. The above is achieved by providing: a method for producing a polyhydroxyalkanoate, said method comprising (a) a step for preparing an aqueous suspension that contains a polyhydroxyalkanoate and an alkylene oxide dispersant, while having a pH of 7 or less, and (b) a step for spray drying the aqueous suspension that has been prepared in the step (a); and the like.
